Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez took to Twitter to confirm he has returned to pre-season training early in a bid to revive his career at the north London club.
The 25-year-old Argentinian has made plenty of progress after learning from the likes of Cech and Ospina and is growing more and more confident with every appearance.
Martinez is slowly growing as a player and developing his abilities and for another season or two with Petr Cech as his guide, he could one day become Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper – his stated goal.
Arsenal have already captured the signing of Bayer Leverkusen goalie Bernd Leno
It is understood that the Gunners have invested €22m (£19.2m/$25m) in a new No. 1, with Unai Emery moving to strengthen the squad inherited from Arsene Wenger.
Petr Cech has been Arsenal’s last line of defence for the last three seasons, but the veteran Czech is now 36 years of age and has been tipped to be shown the exit door with the arrival of Leno.
David Ospina could be shown the exit door as the Colombia international has constantly revealed his frustration of not having regular play time.
