Arsenal are believed to have agreed a £19m fee with Chelsea for French striker Olivier Giroud.
The agreement comes after Arsenal signed striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.
Giroud was struggling for regular game time although it isn’t clear if he will get much more at Chelsea, who have Alvaro Morata on their books.
Morata hasn’t been in great form however and with Michy Batshuayi leaving the club on loan, Giroud may fancy his chances at getting a place in the starting line-up.
One player who won’t be leaving the Gunners is midfielder Mesut Ozil, who has ended speculation on his future by signing a new deal with the club.
The deal will last until 2021 and it will see the 29-year-old become the highest-paid player in the club history, with reports that he will be on £350,000 a week.
