There is so much about how the January transfer window doesn’t see quality players move from one club to another but that is hardly the case for Arsenal this term.
Latest report emanating from Scotland reveals that Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral is set complete his 6months loan move to Rangers.
Tora, 21, was loaned to Granada in the summer but the midfielder was left on the bench more often that and this displeased Wenger.
And, according to Sky Sports reporter Jim White, Toral will undergo his medical with the Glasgow giants this morning.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton knows Toral well from his time at Brentford, where he brought the former Barcelona youngster on loan.
Toral scored six goals and provided two assists to help Brentford to a play-offs spot in the 2014/15 campaign.
Wenger admitted over the weekend that Arsenal were in talks with Rangers over Toral and believes a move to the Ibrox will be good for the 21-year-old.
Following Arsenal’s FA Cup win at Preston on Saturday, Wenger said: “We work on it to see if it is possible, yes.”
Asked if the move would benefit Toral, he added: “Yes, because he has played games [at Granada] but at the moment he doesn’t play and personally I think it would be a good transition for him.”
