The rivalry between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger will be reignited next month when Manchester United and Arsenal take on each other in the Premier League – maybe it will Wenger’s first League win over Mourinho.
However, former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that the aforementioned managers have something in common.
Wenger has failed to beat Mourinho in the League and the Portuguese has called his French counterpart ‘a specialist in failure’ and hit out at Arsenal‘s lack of silverware in recent years.
While Wenger has hit back, slamming the “Special One” for his lack of respect.
Having spent 11 year at Chelsea and several under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho, Arsenal goalkeeper reckons both managers have similar traits in a certain way.
“They are different but there is one thing they have in common – they don’t like defeats,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“I think this is the driving force behind the success both of them have had because you cannot last for such a long time if you don’t have the commitment and the hunger and you’re doing everything to avoid defeat.”
Arsenal host Swansea In the Premier League this Saturday and the players will be looking to maintain their fine form.
