Arsenall will sign a striker and a defender before the end of the transfer window and finally, the club’s frustrating search for new players seems to be drawing to an end with the transfer window five days away from slamming shut.
Now, Arsenal have booked two medical examinations for two players in Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez today. Mustafi, 24, will finally be an Arsenal player after the North London club and Valencia agreed a £35m deal for the German centre-back. It is also reported that Mustafi will put pen to paper on a five-year, 100,000-a-week deal once he completes his medicals.
On the other hand, the Gunners have agreed on a £17.1m transfer of Perez from Deportivo La Coruna, with the Spanish striker expected to sign a four-year contract worth around £70,000 per week.
Perez is a left footed player that can play on the left wing, as a striker or a midfielder. He is expected to walk straight into the first team of Arsenal and probably play on the right wing.
Wenger had promised earlier in the season that he will bolster his squad but only with the right players. We hope Perez delivers for Arsenal.
