I am sure we are yet basking in the ambiance of Arsene Wenger’s transfer market raid that has seen the club signed La Liga top stars Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez, both last week.

Mustafi, 24, has been talking about why he made to move to Arsenal – he alluded in an interview with Skysport Mesut Ozil and Arsene Wenger played a key role in persuading him to sign the deal with Arsenal.
“I did not see Per for a long time because he quit international football but I talked to Mesut. He told me everything I wanted to know. Everything was positive, so I was convinced very fast. It did not take much.

Due to the early transfer market slothfulness of Arsenal, there were reports earlier in the summer that Ozil, who has two years left on his contract, would not be extending as he is unhappy. The recent statement by Mustafi means we are going to have Ozil for a long time at the Emirates.
