Arsene Wenger has given an update regarding the club’s stance on a possible transfer to Paris Saint-Germain for Alexis Sanchez.
The 28-year-old is yet to renew his contract at the Emirates stadium, prompting rumours about a departure this summer.
Recent reports have linked Sanchez, who scored 30 goals last season, with a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Wenger has confirmed that the Chile international will be part of the Arsenal squad next season despite current speculation.
“Sanchez has got one year to go and we have no need to make money.” the Gunners boss said
“He will be part of the team next year and after that I can understand it [the speculation],
“But you don’t want to write that but that’s a version I can give you. … My mind has been made up for a while now.
“We are in a strong financial situation so we want to keep our best players. You can see there is a fight everywhere to get top players. Man United, Manchester City, all the big clubs. All the clubs have big money.”
