AC Milan and Arsenal could battle for Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus in the summer, according to reports.
Reus is undoubtedly one of Europe’s top players but injuries have been a major problem in his career thus far.
The Germany international recently returned from an eight month spell on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury and his hoping to play a key role for BVB until the end of the season.
But it is the winger’s long term future that is a bit covered with uncertainty. Reus contract expires at the end of 2019 and the summer might just be his last chance to secure a big money move.
Wenger used to be a big admirer of the 28 year old, which led to him being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the past but Team Talk are claiming the Gunners are still very much keen on him.
According to Calcio Mercato, Milan would rival Arsenal for Reus’ signature in the summer.
The report also added that Dortmund would demand a figure in the region of €50m, even though the winger will have just one year left in his contract in the summer.
Fee aside, Reus’ injury record will be the major stumbling block to a move happening. Arsenal would be cautious not to spend so much on a player with his kind of record considering all we’ve faced with Jack Wilshere.
