It is safe to say it was the number of midfielders at Arsenal that left Arsene Wenger with no choice than to send Wilshere on loan. However, reports have indicated that Wenger is yet interested in Miralem Pjanic.
A report cited by the Sun claims Wenger has spoken the Juventus midfielder over a possible Emirates move. Pjanic apparently responded positively and he said he is looking to secure an agreement to secure a move to join Arsenal.
The former Roma player is a versatile midfield option, and his pace, clever movement and brilliant technique would no doubt be a welcome addition to our squad if the rumours are true. His recent performances have been impressive since he left Roma for Juventus last summer, he has featured in 20 matches and contributed 6 goals and 8 assists already.
However, the news outlet further reported that it is unlikely that he will join Arsenal this window, but Arsenal are prepared to wait and offer around £28 million to secure his signature in the summer.
