Chelsea are ready to pip Arsenal and Liverpool to the signing of Thomas Lemar with a player-plus-cash deal worth a reported £80million.
That’s according to the Mirror, who claim Antonio Conte is willing to offload Michy Batshuayi as part of the deal that could see Lemar move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s former technical director Michael Emenalo, now at Monaco, is said to be behind the potential move.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool were close to signing the winger in the summer but a deal failed to materialise.
But Chelsea look set to jump ahead of their Premier League rivals by offering Batshuayi on a possible loan deal which would see Lemar move in the opposite direction.
