Arsenal have officially announced they have reached an agreement with Ainsley Maitland-Niles over a long-term contract extension at the Emirate Stadium, According to the Sun.
He becomes the first member of the Arsenal first-team to extend his contract since the arrival of new boss Unai Emery took over as head coach from Arsene Wenger this summer.
This is an indication Emery views the England youth international as part of his plans as he heads to the first season in charge of Arsenal.
The versatile Gunners ace, 20, has been at the club since he was just nine-years-old his impressive performance saw him quickly ascended to the highest grades of the club until Arsene Wenger handed him his first-team debut at age 17.
Maitland-Niles has since then made 28 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last season, across the midfield and in defense.
The England youth international joined Arsenal’s Hale End academy at the age of nine.
