Son of legendary Dutch footballer Patrick Kluivert and Ajax winger, Justin Kluivert, admits that while he doesn’t have a preference when it comes to future clubs, he admires the football Spurs are playing and likes Arsenal.

Justin Kluivert hasn’t officially been linked with Arsenal yet but it’s probably only a matter of time.

Arsene Wenger failed to sign his father in 1998 when he was at Milan; the striker went to Barcelona instead. The Dutchman continued to get linked with Arsenal for years after.

Justin currently plays for Ajax, just like his dad did from 1994-1997, and his immediate goals are to win the Eredivisie and represent the Netherlands at an international level.

However, long-term, he admits that a move to London is attractive and while he apparently doesn’t have a preference when it come to his future club, both Spurs and Arsenal appeal to him.

“It’s an attractive city,” the teenager, who scored seven goals and assisted four this season, told FourFourTwo. “I have to say Tottenham are playing great football at the moment and play really well as a team. But, in general, I don’t follow one team. Arsenal are a nice club as well, for example.”

This isn’t the first time the 18-year-old has spoken about moving to the Premier League. With under 18 months left on his current contract with Ajax, it seems as if the winger is eyeing up a move to England in the future.

“If you get a nice offer, you never know,” Kluivert told Helden back in February.

“England appeals to me: Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea or Manchester United are nice clubs where I can see myself playing in a few years.”

I’m not sure how likely it is that he’ll sign for Arsenal. Despite the youngster insisting that he makes all his own decisions, his agent is Mino Raiola.

The Italian super agent very rarely seems to recommend his clients go to north London – he’s Jose Mourinho’s agent as well after all.

I’m still in shock that he let Henrikh Mkhitaryan sign for Arsenal in January.

Still, stranger things have happened.
