Arsenal have announced deal for youngster Joao Virginia, after the player signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Portuguese starlet has been a regular for the Under-18 of Arsenal and he has starred for us in the UEFA Youth League.
The 17-year-old made headlines earlier this year when he saved three penalties to help the under-17s win the ABN AMRO Future Cup final against Anderlecht.
Despite being very young, he was named in the Portuguese Squad that competed in the Rio Olympic games last summer.
Arsenal said in a statement:
“We would all like to congratulate Joao on his contract, and look forward to his continued progress with the club.”
Virginia’s deal follows the signing of Alex Crean from Celtic last month.
