Arsenal will be hosted by Manchester United in the Premier League for their first bout of the season but we will be without our mercurial star Santi Cazorla, who has been battling with a Achilles problem.
The midfielder has been out of action since being forced off in the Champions League win over Ludogorets back in October with an Achilles injury.
Arsenal have been unable to retain possession in his absence but his recent comment leaves so much to be desired as to his return date.
“Well, I still don’t know the exact time,” he told Cadena Cope.
“I am trying to return as soon as soon as possible to be with the team again but I cannot say if it will be soon or if I still have a few weeks left.
“It is what I do not know but hopefully it will be as soon as possible.”
His statement is a confirmation that he’ll miss the game against Manchester United and PSG for the Premier League and Champions League respectively.
The fitness of Alexis Sanchez will also surely remain a concern, despite his goals for Chile on Tuesday, although he did appear to come through the game unscathed.
