Official: “I Am Very Satisfied” – New Signing Talks Up DREAM Move

There is this maxim in the world of Arsenal football club that “once a Gunner, always a Gunner forever”. However, this doesn’t hold water for every player especially those without legendary status at the club.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been named as one of the assistant coaches to Roberto Martinez for the Belgian national football team.

Henry was Arsenal’s Under-18 side’s coach but he was forced to leave that position due Arsene Wenger’s demands for Henry to leave his role as a pundit on Sky Sports. The French will now take up his first senior coaching role.

Henry would be allowed to continue with his punditry for Skysports.
Speaking about the move, Roberto Martinez has said that he ios very satisfied with Henry and that he looks forward to a cordial partnership.

Thierry has been in the situation to change the spirit into winning something.’

‘I’m very satisfied that (the Belgian federation) has been able to create an impressive staff.
There is in culture in Barcelona and some top European clubs that sees some of their old players return. That has not been the case with Arsenal.

Former Arsenal midfielder, Gilberto Silva has somewhat blasted Arsenal for not retaining the services of Thierry Henry.

‘Thierry has prepared well over the last few years since his retirement with his coaching badges,’ Gilberto told

‘I would prefer him to stay at Arsenal but OK, he’s part of a new era there and I wish him the best of luck as both Thierry and Roberto are excellent people and professionals.’
