Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly excited to complete his first steal from his former club, as the Gunners close in on signing youngster Yacine Adli from Paris Saint Germain, according to the Daily Cannon.
Adli who was nominated as PSG’s most outstanding youth prospect last season has had an outstanding season, culminating in his making his senior debut for the club in May.
The 17-year-old has 20 goals in 20 games for the French U17 and U18 sides, and has attracted the attention of the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus who all wanted to sign him.
Emery Unai has been able to convince the youngster of his development at Arsenal and the familiarity from the Spaniard’s time in Paris seems to have worked.
Adli’s current deal expires at the end of this summer, and he has yet to agree over an extension of his deal, which means that the Gunners can now sign him on a free transfer, but will have to pay a small compensation fee of 223, 000.
