Mohamed Elneny insist that he’s not leaving Arsenal this summer, despite reports.

Despite recent reports that Elneny could be leaving Arsenal this summer, the 25-year-old insists that he’s staying put and is completely focused.

“Winning the Community Shield gives us momentum ahead of the new season. We [players] talked about the importance of winning this game,” Elneny told beIN SPORTS [via KingFut].

“There has been a lot of criticism recently and I wanted to prove that I deserve to play for a big team like Arsenal. That was my best game for Arsenal.”

He added, “I am staying at Arsenal this season.”

The midfielder, who’s been starring at centre-back during Arsenal’s pre-season, has been linked with moves to Galatasaray and Leicester City.

The Egypt international only signed for Arsenal from Basel in January last year and went on to play just 694 minutes in the Premier League last season. However, with three years left on his current contract, he’s still got plenty to prove.
