Bayern Munich have been tracking Lyon starlet Willem Geubbels for several months now ahead of a summer transfer but the Bundesliga champions are set to face some increased competition for the striker’s signature.
Geubbels made his first-team debut for Lyon in September 2017 and has made four appearances for the club this season and could be on the move in the summer.
Both Bayern and Premier League champions Chelsea held talks last month to sign the 16-year-old forward from Lyon, who in turn were trying to agree a first professional contract with the player, but no move transpired before the deadline.
Set to become a free agent in June when his current deal expires, the Guardian note that both Arsenal and Barcelona are now also interested in signing the striker who remains a target for both Bayern and Chelsea. Both Liverpool and Tottenham were linked with a move for the France U17 international earlier this month.
