Arsenal have signed a new kit deal with Adidas which will come in next season, according to reports in the media.

Rumours that The Gunners have been negotiating with Adidas have been all over the media in recent months, as the club’s agreement with present kit supplier Puma will be expiring at the end of this coming season.

Ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright confirmed on his personal Twitter feed that Adidas will be supplying the kits starting from next season, and he said:

“So pleased Adidas are back sponsoring after this coming season. Especially after seeing what Puma have come up with…”

Here is the tweet:

However, there has not been any official confirmation so far, but the rumours are that there will be a £30m increase from the current deal we currently have with Puma.

A report in Football.London has it that the yearly figure will be at the region of £60m which will hopefully give The Gunners’ board the green light to spend more cash in buying players to try compete with their Premier League rivals; Chelsea, City and Manchester United.

If the deal comes to fruition, lets hope we can have the cash quickly so we can get bolstering our squad ahead of next season’s title tilt, or more realistically a shot at getting back into the top four under new Manager Unai Emery.
