Despite Bayern Munich winger, Kingsley Coman, reportedly turning down a move to Arsenal just weeks ago, Arsene Wenger is allegedly plotting to make another.

A report from French outlet, TF1, is claiming that Wenger hasn’t ruled out making another offer for Coman, following his pursuit of the Frenchman in 2014 when he left PSG.

This comes the day after reports emerged claiming that Arsenal had approached Bayern over signing the winger a couple of weeks ago. However, Coman allegedly isn’t interested in moving and the Bundesliga giants don’t want to sell him.

Coman only made 10 starts for the German club last season after suffering a knee ligament injury and only signed for them permanently in April after two years on loan there from Juventus.

Bayern paid a reported €7m for the two-year loan and an additional €21m to bring him on board full-time.

Coman first came through the ranks at PSG, where he obviously caught Wenger’s eye.

He then signed for Juventus in 2014, where he made just 15 appearances before moving to Bayern on loan.

“Yes we really tried to sign Kingsley Coman in the summer of 2014,” Wenger told BeIN Sports.

“The transfer was almost completed, but he preferred to Juventus.”

He’s also been capped 11 times for France.

While Wenger was obviously interested in Coman at one stage and might well have enquired about him a couple of weeks ago, simply asking about the availability of a player isn’t exactly making a firm offer.

By the sounds of it, if the report’s true, the boss dipped his toe in the water and then retreated, since neither player or club want Coman to leave.

Who knows, maybe Arsenal will make an offer. Although it seems like a bit of a waste of time.
