Arsenal willing to to pay £15m for Stoke Midfielder Joe Allen but have been told the player is not for sale at any price, according to The Daily Mail.
Arsene Wenger is desperate to strengthen his midfield options and has already failed with a bid for AFC Bournemouth ace Harry Arter.
Wenger has now turned his attentions to former Liverpool midfielder Allen, but been told he will have to look elsewhere for a January signing he’s willing to bring to the Emirates.
Losing Allen is not a good option for Stoke, who are currently considering Mark Hughes’ future after a poor first half to the season.
Allen, 27, has contributed one goal and four assists from central midfield for Stoke this season, starting all but two of the the bet365 outfits Premier League matches so far.
In order news, Arsenal are determined to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro in a £50m deal this month, via reports from the Daily Mirror.
Juventus refused to sell the Brazil international before the start of the season but he is unhappy in Italy and that could spark a deal in our favour.
Manchester United have also been reported as an interested club in Sandro but Arsenal have made the first move in a bid to steal a march on their Premier League rivals.
Sandro has largely been immense for Juventus since joining the Serie A giants from Porto in 2015 and now looks set to become one of the most expensive defenders of all-time.
In fact, only Paulo Dybala (7.61) has garnered a higher Serie A rating for Juventus than Sandro (7.59) since the start of last season.
