Arsene Wenger is expected make a few changes to his starting line-up on Sunday, especially with the cup final coming only a couple of days after a fixture in the Europa League.
The Gunners will be looking to win some sort of silverware for back-to-back seasons despite their severe struggles so far this term.
Several senior players have been in disappointing form for Arsenal who are currently sitting outside of the Premier League top four with one of the league’s worse records in away games.
Petr Cech is perhaps on the list of names of those who have underperformed this campaign and he is unlikely to feature on Sunday.
The veteran shot-stopper is likely to make way for David Ospina on Sunday and Cech has confirmed that he does not expect to feature in the Carabao Cup final.
“At the start it was clear that it was going to be like that,” Cech said when asked if Ospina would play in the final.
“I will be there with the team supporting but I don’t expect to play. It is always hard to watch any game from the bench or even from the stand if you are not selected.
“As a player you always want to be involved but obviously you are in a professional club where there are 25 top players and the manager always makes his choices for the game and you need to accept that.”
