Arsenal may be unable to sign a striker in this transfer window as their search for a prolific striker is increasingly proving difficult.
The Gunners have been handed another huge blow in their quest to land Aleksandre Lacazette. This follows from a statement released by Lyon’s president Jean Aulas, revealing that they will not sell the player.
The 25-year-old France international has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates, with Lyon confirming last week that they had turned down a 29.3million Pounds offer from Arsenal for their lethal finisher.
Arsenal have already missed out on several strikers including Jamie Vardy, Gonzalo Higuain and so, are in desperate search of a finisher.
Despite the coach of Lyon saying they are open to sell Lacazette for a whopping sum, London Evening Standard now claims the Ligue 1 club have absolutely no desire to sell Lacazette.
“Lacazette will stay with us,” Aulas is quoted
Wenger has been forced to convert Alexis Sanchez into a striker because of Giroud’s fitness. This recent comment now means, Arsenal will have to look elsewhere if they are to sign an attacker.
