Today’s the kick-off of the 2016/2017 Premier League season, I hope our expectations are met per winning trophies.
The manager’s first press of the season held yesterday and Wenger has been talking tough but not in terms of adding players to the rank of the team.
Westham manager Steven Bilic has confirmed that they are not interested in Arsenal target Aleksandre Lacazette, leaving Arsenal as front runners for the French’s signature.
Speaking to the media ahead of the start of the Premier League this weekend, Bilic said, “100 per cent we will not go for Lacazette. We will sign Calleri and he will be with us pretty soon depending on the work permit.
“He is a top striker and we have a good balance in the squad. We have a big couple of weeks in front of us with five big games.”
The player was a subject of an offer from Arsenal but the French club dismissed the possiblity of allowing the player leave.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League opener, Wenger said he is not looking to sign an attacker despite having the need.
We think Wenger is tired of the rain of reports but we know Arsenal are in need of an attacker.
