If a report from the London Evening standard is anything to go by, Arsenal are set to complete yet another transfer deal and this is aside the Jamie Vardy deal. According to the Evening Standard, West Ham are set to table a bid of £25 million for Theo Walcott.
The English striker who had a difficult season with Arsenal has been rumoured to be on his way out of the club and with news yesterday that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is on his way to Arsenal, it appears Arsenal are now getting rid of Theo Walcott in order to accommodate the Armenian international.
Mkhitaryan will certainly be an upgrade on Theo Walcott and I doubt there will be many Arsenal fans who will complain if we get rid of Walcott and bring in the Bundesliga player of the year especially as due to his contract issues with Dortmund, he is likely to be available on the cheap.
Should Theo go to West Ham and Mkhitaryan come to Arsenal, this will be a piece of good business by Arsenal. Getting rid of a player who earns £140,000 a week and delivers nothing and then bring in a player like Mkhitaryan will certainly make a lot of sense.
