Injuries are part of the game of football but for most seasons, they have ruined Arsenal’s effort in their quest for the title.
Reports according to the Mirror claims Arsenal’s new boy Lucas Perez is banjaxed with an ankle ligament damage and is expected to be out until December.
The Spaniard started against The Royals but was forced off in the 72nd minute after he was caught on his left ankle by a heavy Danzell Gravenberch tackle.
He was then replaced by Arsenal’s youngster Chris Willock and he will be back in no less than six weeks time.
This news will come as a blow to Arsene Wenger because we head into a busy November with Ludogorets, Tottenham, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bournemouth and Southampton all lined up in for out fixtures then.
The return of Olivier Giroud would have already added stiff competition for him, having been behind Alexis Sanchez in the pecking order this season – However it is worrying that when an injured player returns from injury, another one goes. So sad.
The former Deportivo La Coruna striker, who was signed for £17million in the summer, had only started one Premier League game to date, while he has also featured twice off the bench.
