Arsenal are yet reveling in the ambiance of form and Mesut Ozil has been among the players leading the Gunners to consecutive victories.
New boy Shkodran Mustafi has revealed that he is not shy of criticising his compatriot Mesut Ozil in other that he maintains his good form.
Mustafi has forged a rock solid partnership with Laurent Koscielny at the heart of Arsenal’s defense since joining from Valencia last summer. He has become a toast of Arsenal fans with his leadership attitude on and off the pitch.
Mustafi had revealed that Ozil convinced him to make the Emirates move, and now Mustafi is ensuring that Ozil is motivated and stays focused.
‘Sometimes I have to criticise him as well because that’s how football is,’ he told the London Evening Standard.
‘Everyone makes mistakes and we have to be professional with it. Sometimes we criticise ourselves the most, it’s not the people out there that criticise us, it’s ourselves who criticise us the most.
‘Because you want to play well, you want to win games, you don’t want to make mistakes. If you make one you are the first one who gets angry. But that’s football, you cannot be without errors.
‘But he’s a fantastic player. I’m happy for him. He can make things happen in the final third. He sees runners.’
We will face Middlesbrough in the Premier League this weekend and the players will be looking to maintain their winning streak.
