Since making his debut for Arsenal, Shkodran Mustafi has steadily improved and has been in the spotlight.
Mustafi joined Arsenal during the closing stages of the transfer window in a 35m move from Valencia. He has since settled into the team.
The 24-year-old has forged a rock solid partnership with Laurent Koscielny at the heart of Arsenal’s defense.
And the Germany international, a Devout Muslim who prays five times a day, has revealed it’s not the end of the world if he has a poor game.
“My religion means so much to me and to my career. It helps me so much,” Mustafi told The Sun.
“At the end of it all, I’m a person like any other who is on the Earth to strive for paradise.
“That is my main task. And if I play a crap game it’s not the end of the world.”
