“Mesut Ozil has paid tribute to his superb solo goal with a message to Arsenal fans following the 3-2 victory over Ludogorets.
The Gunners looked on course to be on the receiving end of a major upset in Sofia as they fell behind by two goals after just 15 minutes.
Granit Xhaka and Olivier Giroud put Arsene Wenger’s men level before the break, but Ozil’s class in the 87th minute was required to secure a vital three points.
After chipping the ball over the goalkeeper, Ozil then dribbled past two Ludogorets defenders before cooly slotting the ball into the net.
And Ozil couldn’t resist using the classic cliche ‘it’s not over until it’s over’ following the 3-2 win…
