The January transfer window is seven days from being shut and we expect Wenger to be brisk about transfers.
AC Milan have revealed that they will only accept a loan swap deal involving reported Arsenal target M’Baye Niang.
The 22-year-old forward has been linked with a move away from San Siro in the January window and has already received offers from Torino and Genoa.
Reports also claim that Arsenal and Manchester United have registered their interest in Niang, who is holding out for a move to the Premier League.
But a potential switch to England has now been complicated by Milan’s latest demand.
According to the club’s official television channel, Milan TV, the Serie A side will only consider an exchange of loans, and will not send Niang out without receiving another player in return.
Such a request is unlikely to generate offers from either Arsenal and Manchester United, with Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho both insisting that they will not allow players to leave this month.
