Arsenal have a herculean tax in the League but it seems Arsene Wenger and his men are having it easy in the transfer window of this year’s winter.
According to the Scottish Sun, Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral is on the verge of sealing a loan move to Rangers.
Toral is currently with Spanish side Granada on a season long loan move but has been a fringe player since the move. He’s made only four starts for the Spanish outfit since the move…..
A move to Ibrox would see Toral reunited with Mark Warburton who coached him during an impressive spell at Brentford in 2014/15.
The Spanglish La Masia graduate, who signed from Barcelona in 2011 at the same time as Hector Bellerin, stepped up gear at Birmingham City last season scoring eight goals in 36 Championship appearances. He went on to win the Supporter’s Player of the Season award and Player’s Player of the Season.
Though still 21, Toral seem frustrated and wants a run of game, and as Jeorge Bird, our resident Arsenal youth expert, suggests time is running out for him to make it at the Emirates.
Should Toral complete a move to Rangers he’ll follow in the footsteps of Gedion Zelalem – also struggling to make an impact at Arsenal – who spent last season with the Gers.
