Medical Booked; Arsenal Given Answer In Pursuit of Wenger Key Target

The struggle in Arsenal’s transfer window continues. After Jamie Vardy rejected the team from North London, by signing a new deal with his current team Leicester City, it looks like Arsene Wenger’s side is going to miss another big target. It looks like the London rivals of Chelsea are going to beat Arsenal on signing the highly-rated French midfielder N’Golo Kante, who by latest reports is going to be the second signing of Antonio Conte at Chelsea since his takeover.

Reports from France and UK claim that the deal that sends Kante at ‘Stamford Bridge’ is going to be completed in the next 48 hours, with the transfer fee expected to be around 29 million pounds, a fee that Wenger did not want to pay.

Although Arsenal has a talented midfield with Cazorla, Wilshere, Ozil, Ramsey, Coquelin and now Xhaka who recently came from Moenchengladbach, Kante would have been an impresive signing. When you think what Kante did last year with Leicester and last month in EURO2016 with his national team, you see a hard working man who did everything in the pitch for his team. Every manager would like to have Kante type of players in his team and for Wenger not being able to get him, looks like a major blow to Arsenal fans, who are absolutely not happy right now. Furthermore, their targer joined their rivals, Chelsea.

Until now, Arsenal have signed two players: Granit Xhaka from Moenchengladbach and the striker Takuma Asano from the Japanese League. The next targets seems to be Gonzalo Higuain and Riyad Mahrez, but what will happen until the end of August, we will have to wait and see.
