Massive Blow – Key Midfielder ruled out of Bournemouth game

Arsene Wenger is reveling in the ambiance of a a very large squad with an array of world class midfielders…

Arsenal’s most expensive player Mesut Ozil missed the game against Crystal Palace yesterday due to an illness and recent reports have indicated that he may not be available for the game against Bournemouth tomorrow.

It was hoped he would return for the trip to the Vitality Stadium, but reports have surfaced that suggest the game will come too soon for the playmaker. However, there has been no official confirmation.

Should Ozil miss the game it will be a blow for the Gunners with the World Cup winner having featured in all but one of their Premier League games prior to missing Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Alex Iwobi filled in during the win over Crystal Palace and capped an impressive performance with a goal. He could continue in the role if Ozil is indeed out, although Arsene Wenger has other options including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey who both came off the bench on Sunday.

  1. There’s no real evidence that Ozil is having flu. The more reasonable explanation is Wenger want to rest him for much tougher away game against Bournemouth
