The absence/loss of Santi Cazorla to injury is what many people have seen as the reason for the Arsenal’s dwindling form. For this team to be able to win any trophy, Wenger must at best ensure that the players are fit and injury-free for the remainder of the season.
According to report, Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin suffered an injury while training with Arsenal’s team last Friday.
The 21-year-old was not part of the squad which travelled to Preston for the FA Cup third-round clash on Saturday evening.
As with the recent poor displays, Arsenal were 1-0 behind before 10mins into the first half but the boys staged a come back and booked a place in the fourth round.
And after the match, Wenger confirmed Bellerin was injured, rather than rested, for the tie against the Championship club.
‘Bellerin was injured yesterday in training,’ Wenger told BT Sport.
The Arsenal boss did not elaborate on the extent of Bellerin’s injury, or the amount of time the right-back will be sidelined.
Bellerin also faced a late fitness test before featuring in the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
