Massive Blow – 5ft6 Arsenal Attacker Suffer Setback Ahead Of United Showdown

The clock have started ticking for the bout between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger but we will yet be without some key players, per reports.

Spain international and Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla had reportedly suffered an injury setback while attempting to make a timely return in time for Man United.

The centre-midfielder has been absent since the Gunners’ dramatic 3-2 Champions League victory away to Ludogorets on November 1.

A persistent Achilles problem has delayed the return of the player to action, having missed Arsenal’s latest game against Tottenham.

And Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Cazorla is not even training with the squad and his return date remains an uncertainty.

With the Spaniard unavailable for the trip to Manchester United tomorrow (12.30pm), it looks unlikely he will feature at the Emirates against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

According to the Mirror, Cazorla suffered a setback which has seen him sit out training recently.

And it is claimed the playmaker aggravated his Achilles issue by trying to recover in time to play against Spurs.

Should Cazorla have been fit, he would likely have started for Arsenal in the derby before the international break.

But it appears the Spain international’s determination to return quickly has backfired.
