Arsenal are set to next week table an improved bid for Liverpool’s Luiz Suarez according to the Guardian. The paper is reporting that the gunners are encouraged in their pursuit of Luiz Suarez after the South American met with Liverpool officials. It is believe that Arsenal feel they have a chance of signing the South American as Liverpool has refused to release the details of the discussion that took place between Suarez and Liverpool’s manager Brendan Rodgers.
The lack of clarity have made Arsenal believe Luiz Suarez has probably told Liverpool he wants out. It is believe that if Suarez had told Liverpool he wants to stay, Liverpool would have publicly announce it in order to dismiss rumours about the striker’s future.
Arsenal had made a cheeky bid of £40,000,001 for the signature of the troublesome striker which they believe has managed to trigger a clause in his contract but Liverpool believe they do not have to sell for that amount and are holding out for £55 million.
Guardian are reporting that Arsenal’s £40,000,001 bid was merely made in order to check if the clause that exist in Suarez’s contract is a release clause or not and now that they know, the club is prepared to send in a bigger bid which they hope will help get them their man.
The paper is also reporting that although Suarez wants out and he has been made furious by recent comments Rodgers made questioning his ( Suarez’s ) loyalty, he is not favorably disposed to putting in a written transfer request.
