ARSENAL target Lucas Moura has revealed he has recently upped his game in an attempt to fight for his place at Paris Saint-Germain.
Lucas Moura has fallen down the pecking order at Paris Saint-Germain following their huge summer spending spree.
The Brazil international is now behind his fellow compatriot Neymar and loanee Kylian Mbappe and has made just two appearances in all competitions.
Arsenal, who have had a long-term interest in Lucas, are reportedly willing to battle Marseille for his signature in January.
However, the 25-year-old has claimed he has no intention of leaving PSG and has upped the ante in recent weeks in an attempt to get more game time.
“Now I eat by following the rules,” he told Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte.
“I don’t eat pizzas and barbecue food anymore, despite how much I miss them. I am concentrating on improving my physical performance.
“Whatever the situation with the national team, that is Tite’s decision. I need to concentrate on improving at PSG.
“The season began in a difficult way for me, but my aim is to win back my starting place and the great moments that I had last year.”
Lucas’ comments come after former PSG and Chelsea defender Alex urged him to move to the Premier League, suggesting Arsenal would be a good fit.
“If I was in his place, I would have already left to make an impact elsewhere,” he told French newspaper L’Equipe.
“Spanish football could suit him – he could take advantage of the space with his speed and technique.
“Even if England does not seem favourable, I would like to see him at Arsenal. They play cleaner football, more technical.”
