As per a report from ESPN, explosive youngster Leon Bailey is weighing up his future with Bayer Leverkusen.
Bailey’s rise to prominence
Bailey, a 21-year-old Jamaican winger, made the move to the BayArena in January of last year for a fee of 20 million Euro, following links with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.
The pacy starlet caught the eye with his performances in the Europa League for Belgian outfit Genk during the 2016/17 campaign, and racked up 12 goals and 6 assists in 34 domestic appearances last season with Leverkusen (27 starts).
Arsenal & Chelsea join the fray
Bailey’s stellar form in Germany led to further links with a number of European football’s biggest clubs, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea having all reportedly added their names to the youngster’s ever-growing list of suitors.
And, as per the aforementioned report from ESPN, any and all clubs interested in Bailey’s services could soon be handed a significant boost in their hopes of landing the gifted attacker, with Bailey ‘considering his options’ following a disappointing start to the season.
To this point in the campaign, the 21-year-old has featured in all 9 of Leverkusen’s Bundesliga outings.
However, only 5 of these have come as starts, the last of which came on the 26th of September.
