The recent impressive displays of the players of Arsenal could be attributed to the competition for a spot in the first team, which sees the players give their best when ever they are called to play.
Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin is in the claim that he has great understanding with England International Theo Walcott on the wing for Arsenal.
Bellerin usurped Mathieu Debuchy to a place in the first team when the France international picked up a shoulder injury in the penultimate season.
While Bellerin has played with several attackers in front of him at Arsenal, the 21-year-old Spaniard has chosen Walcott as his better partner.
Walcott was impressive both in the attack and defensively when Arsenal thumped Chelsea over the last weekend. He has now stake a huge claim for the right wing position
“We have been playing together on the right side for the last few weeks and it’s a partnership we both enjoy.” he said. “We understand each other a lot and I think that shows on the pitch. It’s great fun to play with him [Walcott].”
Arsene Wenger has also praised Walcott for his efforts in recent games when the team loses possession and faces a threat out wide.
”[Theo] used to be 90 per cent forward and 10 per cent defending – today he does it 50-50 and does the job in both ways with commitment.” Wenger said
Bellerin and Walcott combined well for Arsenal’s second goal yesterday and here was a replay…
