Arsenal will host Swansea City in the League this weekend and Wenger has given update on the players.
Mesut Ozil was taken off Germany’s game against Northern Ireland at half time and that raised suspicion that the midfield schemer had sustained an injury.
Nonetheless, Wenger has assured every one of us that the 27-year-old is available for the Swansea game as we look to secure another three points and put more pressure on the League leaders Manchester City.
“He told us he’s completely fit,” Wenger said, as quoted by the official Arsenal website. “We’ll see that today, if we have no bad news today. I see him later. I expect him to be available, especially because he’s only played one half, so he doesn’t need to be rested on Saturday.”
This is a confirmation that he will be in the starting XI.
Ozil has failed to provide an assist for his side this term but has been in fine form for his club and scored two goals as Arsenal sit third in the league table with 16 points from seven games.
