According to report, Serie A champions Juventus are ready to open discussions with another Serie A club Napoli over a stunning move for Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain.
The prolific Napoli striker has given both Italian clubs hopes to negotiate a transfer this summer transfer window, as reported by Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on his website.
It’s been reported that the Argentine forward’s negotiations will hold during the next scheduled meeting to conclude playmaker Roberto Pereyra’s transfer from Turin to the Naples club.
According to the Italian journalist, Di Marzio, Juventus is expected to initially swap four players for Gonzalo Higuain and that, if the Naples hierarchy are not willing to play ball, they are set to activate the daunting £78million escape clause in the player’s contract.
Juventus’ stunning intervention comes following The Mirror’s claims that the Gunners had opened discussions with the striker’s agent and Brother Nicolas about signing the striker this summer.
Reports emanating from Italy cited by Goal.com revealed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes to seal a deal of about £41million including Giroud moving the other way for the 28-year-old attacker.
