Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks interested in signing another left back this summer. The Arsenenal boss is reportedly keen on bolstering his defense this summer and has identified the fullback position as an area he wants to work on.
North London club Arsenal and Spanish giant Real Madrid are keen on German Wolfsburg’s left back Ricardo Rodriguez and both club are eyeing a deal for the defender, according to Swiss newspaper Blick via the Express.
The Gunners are hoping to sign the defender for a considerable lower fee after the expiration of a £21m release clause in the player’s contract.
According to reports in the media, the left back has told his German side that he wants to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.
It is widely believed that Wolfsburg are now set to sell for a lesser fee as Rodriguez had a relatively poor season last term and would not be able to command a high fee.
The Switzerland international defender is an international teammate of Arsenal new recruit Granit Xhaka and the defender has revealed he would be open to a move to Arsenal.
