The injury spate at Arsenal has left a deep in the defense of the club but thankfully, the midfield appears to have more legs to the extent that the club can cope with injury to one or two players.
Arsene Wenger has given a positive update on the injury of England born midfielder Jack Wilshere. The French tactician claims the injury as “minor and remains optimistic that the midfielder will have a big season.
Wilshere picked up a niggling injury during pre-season games and missed the final game against Manchester City and is a doubt for the opening game if the season.
But speaking at the launch of the new Premier League season, Wenger has somehwat dowsed the tension that the player will be out for long.
“He has a very big year ahead – I must say his preparation was encouraging,” he said.
“He had a little setback recently but its looks very minor and of course for us to have a great season it is important to have a great Jack Wilshere.”
Wilshere missed the most par of last season due to an injury he sustained at the beginning of the season. We hope he stays fit.
