Given the number of players within the rank at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger can now afford to rotate the squad without tweaking the core of his team.
Arsenal midfield maestro Santi Cazorla is reportedly battling with an ankle problem, which is why he substituted in our game last night after 57minutes.
He was spotted having ice applied to his ankle as it was being strapped and that brought to mind how we lost him for almost the entirety of last term.
But, speaking to the media after the game, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the problem had resulted from a kick and it seems like we don’t have much to worry about.
“He got a kick and I took him off as quickly as possible,”Wenger said. “He got a kick on the back of his Achilles tendon.
“In my view he was limping a little bit so I didn’t want to take a gamble.”
Wenger also revealed that Alexis Sanchez was okay and there was nothing to be scared about for his substitution.
I think Cazorla would be rested for the game against Boro and Elneny given the nod to star in midfield.
