Latest injury news! Five players sidelined with injury & triple boost received ahead of Swansea game

Arsenal faces Swansea this weekend in a Premier League clash and it appears that Arsene Wenger will have a near-full squad for the game.

According to reports, Kieran Gibbs, Hector Bellerin and Mesut Ozil are all fit and available for the game while Mertesacker has a setback and is out of action with Theo Walcott, Mathieu Debuchy, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.

Ozil has missed the recent Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth after being struck down with flu over the New Year period before returning to training last week.

Meanwhile, Bellerin was injured in training ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup game with Preston. However, he’s returned.

In a triple boost, the newspaper report claims that Gibbs is ready to make his return after missing the last three matches with a knee injury which he picked up against West Brom on Boxing Day.

In other news, Theo Walcott will be assessed ahead of the Swansea game after missing the last four matches with a calf strain while Danny Welbeck will also be checked to see how he responded after making his first appearance of the season last weekend – for the other absentees, they are nowhere near returning.
