According to reports in Spain this morning, Real Madrid’s new signing Gareth Bale may push Arsenal target Karim Benzema further to Arsenal. According to the reports, Bale may be playing his 3rd game for Real Madrid when they take on Atletico Madrid later today ( Saturday ) and manager Carlo Ancelotti is puzzled on how to accommodate into the team the in form Isco, Di maria, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale himself.
Should this happen, it would mean Benzema will have to start from the bench this Saturday and maybe for some time more as his form hasn’t been encouraging to Madrid’s manager. Benzema was booed by a vast majority of Real Madrid fans which has led reports that Benzema wants out of Real Madrid with Arsenal the only club interested so far.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who is a known fan of Benzema reportedly tried to sign Benzema in the just concluded summer transfer window but failed due to Real Madrid’s reluctance to sell as a result of their own failure to nab down another striker who would have replaced Benzema.
It is thought that Wenger will go back for the striker in January and this time, he will have a better chance as Benzema is not overly wanted by Ancelotti at the club and the fans’ constant booing of the player means he also wants out. According to the reports, Benzema will be allowed to go in a cut price deal should Arsenal still be interested in him.
