This weekend sees Arsenal take on Chelsea in the toughest London Deby game. Surely, the game will not be without memories of when Arsene Wenger was almost involved in a fight with Jose Mourinho.
There has been a long standing bad-blood between Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese tactician Mourinho claims he would find Arsene Wenger and break his face some day.
“When Mr Wenger criticises CFC and Man United over the deal with Mata…” said the former Chelsea chief, according to the Daily Mail.
“I will find him one day outside a football pitch and I will break his face.”
Mourinho was said to have made this statement during his second spell at Chelsea, after he sold Chelsea’s most valuable season Juan Mata To United in the January window of 2014.
Wenger questioned the rationale behind selling his best player to a direct rival. The same thing he(Wenger) has done more than once.
What followed was a series of thinly-veiled digs between the pair, which culminated in Mourinho labelling his nemesis as “a specialist in failure”.
.It is the latest instalment to one of football’s most famous feuds.
All eyes will be on Old Trafford when the pair next go head-to-head in November.
