Arsenal are aiming to overhaul their squad this summer as Arsene Wenger targets a first Premier League title since 2004.
The Gunners acted swiftly to sign Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from German side Schalke back in June.
And they then followed that up with a £52million deal for Alexandre Lacazette, who arrived from Ligue 1 giants Lyon.
However, Arsene Wenger knows more players are needed if the Gunners are to finally end their agonising 14-year wait for the country’s biggest prize.
The Arsenal manager has been trying to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco, but the French side have refused to let another player leave Monte Carlo.
And the Daily Mail say that, with Lemar proving difficult to obtain, they are weighing up a move that will see Nice star Seri become their third summer signing.
It is said Wenger is an admirer of the Ivory Coast international, who starred as Nice finished in the Champions League slots last season.
However, the Gunners boss is supposedly in no rush to sign the 26-year-old and is willing to wait until later in the summer to get a deal one.
Speaking last week, Nice chief Jean-Pierre Rivere suggested they could look to offload some players to make room for new recruits.
“There should be three or four more arrivals, and two departures,” he told L’Equipe.
“We want to finish these as soon as possible, but certain cases take more time than others.”
North London rivals Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Seri.
