Most teams in the world would probably want someone as creative as James Rodriguez in but unfortunately for Arsenal fans it won’t be there team as he’s set to stay at Bayern Munich.

The 2014 World Cup was a magical time, not as magical as watching England carve up the tournament in 2018 of course, and brought to light the wonderful talent that is James Rodriguez.

Of course the Colombian wasn’t exactly hidden out of sight before the tournament in Brazil, he was playing in Monaco after a €45 million move from Benfica after all, but his goalscoring exploits that summer took him to superstardom.

Winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup led Real Madrid to splash the cash on him but Los Blancos have since loaned him to Bayern Munich.

Life in Germany has rather stalled for the 27 year old since Niko Kovac became manager last summer which led to rumours that his two year loan spell could come to an end prematurely this month.

According to reports he was available for the rest of the season for just £3 million with Arsenal said to be interested, as well as Napoli.

That rumour has now seemingly been squashed. According to ESPN FC Rodriguez is happy at the Allianz Arena and wants to stay till at least the end of the season.
