Arsenal and Tottenham have been told that Thomas Lemar is not for sale at any price this summer by Monaco, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that both of the north London clubs are “keen followers” of the 21-year-old winger but neither are likely to be able to convince Monaco to sell the France star this summer.
The story claims that Arsenal had a bid of around £31m rejected by Monaco this week and the Ligue 1 champions were said to be “surprised” at how low their initial offer was.
It is claimed that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Lemar for some time but face an uphill battle in trying to convince Monaco to sell the attacker this summer.
Arsenal continue to be linked with a host of Europe’s top attacking players this summer, but the Gunners have so far only concluded a deal to sign left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
